The Canadian Olympic Team began competing in the modern Olympic Games in the early 1900s and its more-than-a-century of stories, themes and iconography influenced this comprehensive rebrand by Vancouver, Canada-based designer Ben Hulse. The new strategy focuses on the team rather than the committee and delivers a classic sports brand with fresh appeal through an impressive balance of imagery and stories about Canada’s past and present Olympic heroes. The project included brand strategy and guidelines, marks, typography, color, graphics and photographic and writing styles—all of which are compressed into this comprehensive 86-page brand manual. The brand was unveiled June 6 2011.
