Background: The main purpose of the new Eugenius website is to redefine what most people and businesses think of an IT company. The hero in our story is not Eugenius but its customers. The site was built to be innovative, intuitive and experiential: a reflection of the brand core values. Eugenius’s brand recently went through a complete overhaul, so the website played a big role in its public launch.

Design core: The site is built entirely with the latest web 3-D technologies, enabling an online experience rarely found in the IT industry. The entire site is a real-time, 3-D environment, similar to those used in online gaming but designed to accomplish specific business goals and fulfill awareness strategies.

Favorite details: We’re most proud of how we were able to combine intuitive UI design, bleeding-edge technology and sound to deliver an online experience that stayed true to the brand and the company’s marketing efforts.

Challenges: Making strategic decisions on defining a unique user experience without compromising accessibility and ease of use.

Navigation structure: We strategically designed the site to put the user in control, enabling an unstructured yet intuitive online experience. The new Eugenius logo is our main navigation anchor, always dynamic, and the place where all content resides.

Technology: The site was primarily built with JavaScript and Three.js. We utilized a few different frameworks such as Brunch and Jade for JavaScript builds and server-side templating. glTF/GLB models with built-in polymorph animations were used to accomplish some of the 3-D model effects. We also mixed in 2-D and 3-D animation and particle effects for added visuals.
