The goal behind the identity of Alex Gibney's film production company was to create a bold, serious wordmark that retained the nuance and sophistication found in his award-winning documentary films. To achieve this, the Jigsaw identity was distilled down to a journalistic black-and-white palette and a straightforward geometric sans serif wordmark. Sections of each letterform were removed to visually represent the interplay of different voices that make up the narrative of each film.
