“Cruise ships are similar to commercial airplanes in the sense that they have to be at certain places at certain times and follow preset ‘flight plans.’ Even though we had radio communication with the captain, we were unable to have the ship deviate much from its preset plan. We were given several dates, times and ports of entry where we could photograph the ship. There were no second takes or waiting for the right part of the golden hour.”
