Record Store Day, an annual celebration of independent record stores, was held Saturday, April 18, 2015. The country’s roughly 1,400 independent record stores received a slew of special-edition vinyl, including new recordings, re-masters and highly collectible limited releases. To support Jacksonville’s Deep Search Records & Books on its big day, the Jacksonville–based agency Shepherd created a campaign celebrating the love of vinyl records. With a bold, colorful spin on the reasons music lovers of all ages continue to gravitate to records, the campaign highlights the superior audio quality that vinyl offers over MP3s and that moment of pure, visceral joy when the needle touches the record.
