This rebrand for TBS by Los Angeles-based Ferroconcrete includes a full on-air graphics package that brings the network’s logo to life by turning its iconic half-circle smile into a living, breathing, three-dimensional character. TBS is the leading destination for comedy and all things “very funny” so the creative team merged the two words to create a new “veryfunny” brand tagline and coupled it with simple and concise screen information to create a balance between the information graphics and the animated logo. One of history’s most versatile logos the three-dimensional character is equipped with a full arsenal of expressions and gestures and waves, jumps and bows as he charms, goofs and mimics. The project encompassed a comprehensive on-air network branding strategy, including logo design and animation, color palette, typography and all on-air information graphic design for menus, logo IDs and headers.
