"The stitched tomato illustrated a story about genetically engineered foods. Carefully slicing the outer layer of skin, then making the stitches with a curved needle, without damaging the perfect tomato, was a bit challenging. I had to make the stitches shallow so that the black would slightly show just underneath the skin."
