“This project for Powerade is a testament to how personal work drives the work you later get hired for. The concept was loosely based on my personal work documenting high school football. Licensing and copyright issues prevented us from using actual high school players, so our goal was to make a cast team appear as real as possible. We took them through a real, grimy football workout while I captured authentic moments like a fly on the wall.”
